Engaging Students with Authentic 3act Mathematical Modeling (K12). September 30, 2020: 830 to 1130am. $89. This virtual workshop will highlight the key aspect of 3act mathematical modeling by embedding tasks in the real world via multimedia.

Nothing But Desmos (Grades 612). October 1, 2020: 830 to 1130am. $89. This virtual workshop will engage teachers in the free online platform desmos. We will explore all of its features from animating objects and functions, to creating lessons and building assessments.

Technology Virtual Happy Hour Workshop (K12). Thursdays October 1, 8, 15 and 22: 5 to 6pm. $99 (including all 4 weeks). Each week we will learn and discuss technology apps for remote learning (Flipgrid, Desmos, EdPuzzle, Edulastic and others)
Rethinking Math Problems Series. Description: Given all the technology “tools” such as Google, WolframAlpha, and Chegg amongst many others that students use to do their math problems and homework, it is time to rethink the problems we assign and the homework we provide students in math classes. This session will provide examples where students are challenged to solve deeper problems and asked to create mathematics where Google is of little help.
